Getting there

The Centro region is served by the Lisbon and Porto airports, and by the railway line linking both cities, with stops in Coimbra and Aveiro. The A1 and A25 motorways cross the region from north to south and from coast to interior.

When to visit

The coast and cities such as Aveiro and Coimbra are pleasant almost year-round. In Serra da Estrela, winter brings snow while summer brings hiking and cool mountain air.
